World Expos are great events that are usually held after every five years. The last one was in Milan in 2015 with ‘Energy for Life,’ ‘and Feeding the Planet’ as its theme. Dubai is next in the line to host the most incredible show in the world-Expo 2020.
Expo 2020 is a celebration of all human achievements and brilliance. People from all walks of life will get the opportunity to connect. It will be an experience of a lifetime as people appreciate the work of art, different cultures, innovation, technology, science, and invention, not to mention that the environment will trigger new ideas.
From time Immemorial, UAE has impressed the world with its innovative spirit. In such a short while, it has witnessed massive development. And now that Expo 2020 is bound to happen soon, Dubai will become such a force to reckon with. It will have something to tell its future generations, not to mention that in the next 50 years, Dubai’s development is expected to be at the peak.
What’s the Main Goal of Expo 2020?
Expo 2020 will be an appreciation of the United Arab Emirates vision 2021. It’s aimed at supporting the tourism industry, steer the growth of innovative industries in the UAE. It will also build a name for the country among the international communities as a giant business hotspot.
Furthermore, the highly anticipated event will empower the youths to unleash their full potential to support the country’s growth and development. The youths are energetic and innovative. They are also highly flexible and can adapt to modern technology with ease, unlike the older generation. Therefore, they just need to be empowered, and the sky will be the limit.
But aren’t we already in 2021? Why is it Expo 2020 and not 2021? Here’s why;
Expo 2020 was scheduled for 20th October 2020 to 10th April 2021. That’s because it’s supposed to take place every five years and must last for six months. However, following the global pandemic outbreak- COVID-19 in December 2019, the event had to be postponed.
Despite the unfortunate change of dates, the name Expo 2020 was not dropped for marketing and branding reasons. It was actually the first time in history to have an Expo pushed to a later date instead of being canceled.
Expo 2020 Dubai is now scheduled for 1st October 2021- 31st March 2022. It’s a highly anticipated Expo that will have a positive impact on all the participants.
Who are the Participants?
About 190 countries will be participating in the Expo 2020 Dubai. The expected visitors are about 25 million from all walks of life. The show will shower visitors with Emirati hospitality and allow them to experience UAE values of cooperation, tolerance, and inclusion.
Why are Expos Held?

What’s the Impact of Dubai Expo 2020?
Expo 2020 Dubai will enhance the importance of preserving the planet and improving mobility and sustainability. It will create more growth opportunities for the country. Aside from celebrating UAE vision 2021, it will take tourism in the country to newer levels. Furthermore, more business deals will be sealed between the local and the international community.
What’s the Success Rate of Dubai Expo 2020?
That’s an important question, given that the global pandemic is still on our necks. However, that’s not a thing to worry about since everything is well-thought-out. In fact, Dubai residents are optimistic, and they believe that this year’s Expo will bring a new dawn to their economy and society at large.
In 2019 December, Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid was on the site. He was satisfied with everything and stated that it would be a mega show to connect the world’s great minds. The Expo will provide the world a platform to reshape the future. He called out to the youths to participate in the Expo by contributing creative ideas to create solutions. The youth’s efforts are needed to create a better country and a better world.
